Hi John,
Today marks the seventh memorial since the tragedy at Marjory Stoneman
Douglas High School that led to our founding, where 17 children and
educators were killed, and another 17 injured. Two others died in the
months that followed because of the unbearable pain of loss.
These precious lives had value, and they are missed every single day. We
fight on in their honor, and in honor of the tens of thousands of others
who lose their lives because of gun violence every year.
The progress that we have made since Parkland has been hard-won, and it is
still not enough to make our country free from gun violence. There have
already been 33 mass shootings in 2025.
We honor victims and survivors by telling their stories and by continuing
this fight. Our actions are a promise to them and to ourselves: We will
never stop until we eradicate gun violence once and for all.
We’re still here, still pissed, and still fighting to live free of gun
violence. We’re not going to let anyone silence us.
In solidarity,
March For Our Lives
