In Albany, Co-Chairs Assemblymember Alex Bores (D-NY), a 2024 Rising Star Awardee, and Assemblymember Ed Ra (R-NY) brought New York Future Caucus members together over breakfast for their first meeting of the year. |
The energy in the room was undeniable as members dove into a discussion on their policy priorities for 2025. Childcare, criminal justice reform, housing affordability, and artificial intelligence emerged as key focus areas for the caucus. And, of course, there was plenty of excitement over our Future Caucus stickers! |
Our day in New York ended with an inspiring evening reception with young lawmakers, community members, and leaders in the area toasting to the rise of a new generation of leadership in New York.
Thank you to Jamie Ansorge of Cozen O'Connor Public Strategies for his help co-hosting the event with the New York Future Caucus! |
In Montpelier, the Vermont Future Caucus welcomed both familiar and new faces for their first gathering of the 2025 legislative session, including seven newly-elected legislators. Co-Chairs Representative Mary-Katherine Stone (D-VT) and Representative Casey Toof (R-VT) led an intimate discussion covering everything from community and coalition building to the unique challenges young elected officials face. |
With a record number of newly-elected lawmakers in the state, building a strong sense of community is a top priority for members of the Vermont Future Caucus, as they kick off their year serving in the legislature together.
Two trips in one week has us feeling energized! How could we not be when young people across the country are stepping up to lead and work together for a better future? 🤩 Onwards, Future Caucus |
