The second Trump administration has been nothing short of chaotic —rampant executive overreach, critical agencies like USAID, CFPB, and the NIH defunded or outright shut down, and rights we once took for granted under constant attack.
With Republicans controlling the White House and both chambers of Congress, we have at least two more years of this madness. But there’s one powerful way we can fight back: through the courts.
That’s exactly what Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes is doing.
AG Mayes has been relentless in standing up to Trump’s reckless agenda. She has sued to block Trump’s attempt to end birthright citizenship, fought against devastating cuts to the NIH, and taken legal action to stop Musk’s DOGE committee from accessing Treasury Department data without security clearance.
She’s doing everything in her power to protect Arizonans from the chaos coming out of Washington— but here’s the kicker: she only won in 2022 by 280 votes. Out of over 2.5 million votes cast, just 280 votes made the difference between an AG fighting for us and one who would have let Trump’s agenda run unchecked in Arizona.
That’s why her 2026 re-election is a top priority. With over 62% of Arizona’s registered voters living in Maricopa County, we at MCDP are going all in to ensure she wins another term.
