I'm blown away.
In the days since I announced my campaign for Governor, people from all corners of New Mexico and beyond have stepped up to show their support.
I’m proud to share that we exceeded our goal of 2,500 grassroots donors in the first 48 hours! Because of these contributions we can hit the ground running by visiting 19 different cities and towns across New Mexico as we launch this campaign. I’m truly grateful.
What we raise in these early days is so crucial to the future of our campaign. Can we count on you to keep the momentum strong?
For better or worse, fundraising numbers are studied like baseball statistics in the political world. To the media, our numbers make a good headline — but for our campaign here in New Mexico, they mean so much more.
A strong first week demonstrates the grassroots support for the values at the heart of this campaign: to be good stewards of the Earth, to care for each other, and to address the cost of living that’s crushing our families.
It also determines what key investments we’re able to make when it comes to staffing, opening campaign offices, and much more.
