GOP Rep. Anna Paulina Luna confronted former Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, Andrew Natsios, about shocking USAID programs apparently used to destabilize foreign nations.
“Did anyone in USAID get elected?!!” Luna pressed Natsios.
Luna referenced a military instruction manual on how to destabilize nations with “race riots,” which she says would use USAID funds.
“I find this disturbing!!” Luna told Natsios, “They are advocating that the U.S. military work with taxpayer funded State Department and USAID funds to destabilize nations!”
Natsios argued back that USAID had not written the instruction manual and was not responsible for it. “Anyone could write USAID’s name into a manual, it goes on all the time!”
“I disagree with you on so many levels!!” Luna fired back.
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), under Elon Musk's leadership, has exposed many ludicrous USAID expenditures funded by American tax dollars. Some $1.5 million was reportedly spent on DEI program in Serbia, $700,000 for a musical in Ireland, and $47,000 for a transgender opera in Colombia, the
White House listed in a press release.
Musk and DOGE's initiative to streamline government spending lead to today’s hearing titled “The USAID Betrayal,” in which lawmakers have the opportunity to confront bureaucrats face-to-face about these absurd expenditures.
