It’s a very special day here at the Blue Dogs, and not just because it’s Valentine’s Day… Today officially marks 30 years since the Blue Dog coalition was founded! 💙
Since then, we have built a legacy of policy success including passing bipartisan campaign finance reform, implementing Pay-As-You-Go budgeting and No Budget, No Pay rules, working to end gerrymandering, advocating for fiscal responsibility and economic growth, strengthening our national security, and providing a voice for rural America.
Over the years, the Blue Dogs have been a critical voice in the Democratic Party making sure that rural voices are heard and working people are prioritized. We’ve flipped countless seats and elected members from all walks of life. We know who we are, and we’ve always been committed to making sure that we stay true to our values of pragmatism and bipartisanship.
But our work is far from over! Our mission is to provide bold leadership and commonsense solutions that break down political barriers and deliver real results for the American people.
