About the job

As the Information Technology System Administrator, you will provide technical support to agency-wide staff, other state agencies, enterprise application customers, vendors, and public sector customers. In this role, you will directly contribute to the DES mission by supporting the Digital Print and Mail Solutions. You will utilize IT standards and best practices to maintain and develop automated workflow solutions for various agencies and programs, which often involve confidential data for mission-critical, high-impact and high-risk functions. This position requires advanced technical knowledge to address complex tasks, including data administration, system administration, and root cause analysis. You will focus on continuously improving services for our customers while developing and maintaining a flexible, mobile-friendly environment. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring the performance, security, and accessibility of in-house, Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS), and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) systems, as well as overseeing professional-level software development. Additionally, you will enhance the agency’s web applications by implementing usability testing processes that meet stakeholder needs and optimize user experience. You will oversee workflows within the Enterprise Digital Print and Mail system, providing guidance on programming logic and device interactions. Close collaboration with ETS teams - Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Infrastructure support, will be critical. Staying up to date with new technologies and best practices is essential to deliver exceptional IT solutions and drive continuous improvement for the organization.
