Neighbors,
This week, the Committee on Business & Economic Development, in partnership with the Committee of the Whole, held a joint roundtable to discuss key economic issues affecting our city. We also hosted a Performance Oversight Hearing, where we heard from government witnesses representing Destination DC, the Alcoholic Beverage and Cannabis Administration (ABCA), and the Real Property Tax Appeals Commission (RPTAC).
These discussions are critical to ensuring transparency, accountability, and efficiency in how our agencies support local businesses, regulate key industries, and manage property tax appeals. From promoting D.C.’s tourism economy to streamlining licensing and taxation processes, we remain committed to policies that foster equitable economic growth and opportunity for all residents.
I appreciate everyone who engaged with us throughout these hearings. Your input helps shape our city’s future, and I encourage you to stay involved. As always, my office is here to assist you—don’t hesitate to reach out.
Let’s keep working together for a stronger D.C.!
In service,
Kenyan
