Using an antiquated law is the anti-abortion extremist playbook.

NARAL Pro-Choice America recently changed its name to Reproductive Freedom for All. Our name may be new, but our mission of protecting and expanding reproductive freedom remains the same.

Reproductive Freedom for All | Formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America

Hi John,

Remember the Comstock Act, a federal law established back in 1873? Us either.

But this 150+ year old law, passed decades before women had the right to vote, has bubbled back up as a means for the Trump administration to ban abortion nationwide.

Misusing an antiquated law is the anti-abortion extremist playbook—literally, Project 2025 called for them to do exactly this. But there is something we can do about it. Our reproductive freedom champions in Congress have introduced a bill to fight back.

Ask your lawmakers to support the Stop Comstock Act and protect abortion access nationwide.

SEND A MESSAGE

The Stop Comstock Act would protect against Republicans' weaponizing Comstock to ban mailing medication abortion, including mifepristone, and equipment used for abortion care. As we know, mifepristone is incredibly safe (safer than Tylenol!) and used for the majority of abortion care, so banning access to these pills is effectively banning abortion nationwide.

We cannot let the Trump admin abuse a 150+ year-old antiquated law to ban abortion nationwide. Tell your lawmakers to co-sponsor the Stop Comstock Act.
