Donald Trump and the GOP have used the first 46 days of his second administration to do everything BUT lower costs for working families. It is clear, they have ZERO plans to address the real issues impacting everyday families. In fact, their policies are threatening to raise prices – not lower them.

Here’s the reality:

🥚 The prices of eggs and other everyday commodities are still going up and the threats of trade wars with our allies will only exacerbate the impact on our daily lives. Read more about this in my Fox News op-ed.

🏘️ I believe tariffs are an important tool to incentivize American manufacturing and protect workers. But Trump’s trade war on some of our closest trading partners is causing more uncertainty for our markets and could raise prices on everyday goods. Proposed tariffs could impact our ability to build and update housing infrastructure affordably, which could cause us to not meet the demand.

🎓 The Trump Administration supported a budget proposal that would add more than 4 trillion to our national deficit. This isn’t responsible governing. This much of an increase to our debt could spike interest rates for student loans, homes, and cars — making it less affordable to get an education, purchase a home or a new vehicle.
