Support Black Candidates
As King County Young Democrats, we stand in solidarity with all who are seeking justice and we strongly affirm our commitment and dedication to supporting candidates for whom racial justice is a priority. Below are candidates that we have endorsed for state legislature. Each one supports our black and brown communities in Washington State with their strong commitment to racial and gender justice.

In his opening statement in his video that he recorded for KCYD ([link removed]) , David says that he is running for state representative because "we need representation that honors the values of the community." The combination of his resume and his life experience make him exceptionally well-qualified to do exactly that.

Johnson's first legislative session, during which he was an advocate for progressive policies.

Last year might have been Rep. Debra Entenman's first term in the legislature, but she's no new kid on the block, having worked for Congressman Adam Smith for 12 years. She also sponsored the Working Families Tax Credit ([link removed]) : a program that would re-balance Washington State's upside-down tax code ([link removed]) .
