Last week was a big one for our work to fight back against Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans’ efforts to hike costs for Americans. |
They passed a budget blueprint to put us on a path of less opportunity, higher poverty, and more inequality. |
Simply put, their budget is a roadmap for hurting families.

The Republican plan will raise health costs, like monthly premiums, kick school kids and families off food assistance, and take away homeowners’ ability to increase home values with clean energy improvements. |
As a new leader on the House Budget Committee, I pushed back vigorously against these deeply harmful cuts that jeopardize people’s health and well-being. |
I will always stand up for all of our families. |
We can’t just let Republicans win in their push for costly tax cuts for the 1% that grow our nation’s debt and are paid for by deep cuts to programs that help families. I’m grateful for all your help. |
