The Democrats of Indian River are organizing a protest tomorrow (Presidents Day) at the intersection of SR 60 and 58th Ave from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, and we need volunteers to help rally against the Trump administration. Volunteers should arrive by 4:15 pm at the Wells Fargo Bank (the bank will be closed) at the northwest corner of SR 60 and 58th Ave to organize and prepare to wave signs. Volunteers can bring their own signs or make them at the DEC office, with suggested messages such as:
“Trump-Musk Not My President”
“Fully Fund Medicare & Medicaid”
“Protect Our Environment”
“Follow the Law”
“Save USAID”
“Protect Immigrant Rights”
“Respect Federal Employees”
“Restore Government Integrity”
We will not accept crass signs. Volunteers are encouraged to wear their “DEMS” shirt or red, white, and blue attire. Please let us know if you can attend and whether you need a sign or will bring your own. Thank you for your support!
