Easterseals gives people greater independence to lead their lives the
way they want, but misinformation and stigma toward people with
disabilities continues to create barriers to supports.

Since Easterseals was founded over a century ago, we've made
great strides in creating understanding and acceptance for people with
disabilities. But stigma continues to be one of the main obstacles in
our way toward an even brighter future.
