John, it's Chair Jeanna Repass.

Trump's reckless address to Congress last week reignited a fire in the belly of Kansas Democrats, and before I ask you to chip in to help us fight the misinformation, I feel like it's important to set the facts straight with our biggest supporters.

Trump's promises might sound good initially, but his statements don't give Kansans the full picture. Here are just 3 quotes from Trump that need more explaining:

1️⃣ "We are ending radical indoctrination in K-12 schooling."

John, if Trump can't completely dissolve the Department of Education like he wants, he intends to strip funding from public schools by targeting kids with different abilities, sexual orientations, and beliefs. The Department of Education funding supports 499,000 kids across 1,300 Kansas K-12 schools, and Kansas has already seen what happens when you defund schools: school closings, teacher shortages, and no support for disabled students. If Trump gets his way, all students in Kansas will suffer.

2️⃣ "Tariffs are about making America rich again and making America great again."

John, trade wars with our allies have sent the Stock Market into a freefall, and Americans are already seeing higher prices. In his first term, Trump's trade war hurt Kansas farmers so badly that his administration had to do a series of farm bailouts… and under the Musk and DOGE regime, it's unlikely he's going to help them out this time around.

3️⃣ "[Doge] has found hundreds of billions of dollars of fraud… and we’ve taken back the money."

John, grants and contracts aren't "fraud" just because they've got a word in the title that an unelected billionaire—Elon Musk—doesn't like. The "fraud" he is claiming are actually payments for organizations that buy up the produce Kansas farmers sell, support for critical childhood cancer research facilities at American universities, and funding that helps maintain America's global dominance by supporting our allies.

Donald Trump's presidency is built on lies, and these lies will cost Kansans EVERYTHING.

The Kansas Democrats HAVE to combat this misinformation, and we need your help.

We've already jumped into action by setting up town halls, creating information campaigns, and making ourselves available to anyone with questions—but the most effective movements spread by word of mouth.

John, will you chip in to support our efforts to protect Kansans and elect Democrats?

Thank you,

Chair Jeanna Repass
