Hi folks, it’s Ghazala Hashmi, the Democrat running for Lt. Gov of Virginia. 

In recent weeks, as I’ve spoken with dedicated career civil servants in my district and across VA, I’ve heard gut-wrenching stories about the impact of Elon Musk’s attempts to destroy our economy.

Workers are losing jobs and healthcare; a housing crisis is looming, and workers are getting no responses to applications for the unemployment benefits every worker has already paid into. It’s unacceptable, and I am doing everything I can to support those affected by Musk’s actions right now.

And that includes running for Lieutenant Governor.

Glenn Youngkin has been a rubber-stamp to Donald Trump and Elon Musk. He’s fully aligned with their MAGA agenda — all while Virginians suffer the consequences.

As Lt. Gov, I won’t leave anyone behind and will never prioritize a meaningless agenda ahead of real people’s lives.
