This week, I am laying out my plans to make our city safer.

I will grow the NYPD by 5,000 officers—a 15% increase—and I will dramatically decrease the approximately one billion dollars in overtime pay that our city currently spends on policing.

We will regulate e-bikes and cut down on the dangers to pedestrians and riders.

Our streets must be safe and walkable.
