He also declared that the scattered incidents of vandalism against Tesla and Tesla showrooms would henceforth be treated like "terrorism," in case you had any doubts as to whether or not the instruments of state violence would be mobilized to protect Elon Musk's bottom line. All this, of course, is to prop up Tesla's plummeting stock, because not even the ostensibly free market can be allowed to inconvenience Trump and his billionaire cronies.
