U.S. Agrees to Resume Military Assistance to Ukraine

Ukraine said it would support a Trump administration proposal for a 30-day cease-fire with Russia, an announcement that followed hours of meetings on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia where the United States agreed to immediately lift a pause on intelligence sharing and resume military assistance to Kyiv, as the NYT reports.

Ontario to Suspend U.S. Electricity Surtax After Trump Threat to Double Tariffs on Canada

Ontario Premier Doug Ford says he’s suspending the province’s 25% surtax on U.S.-bound electricity, hours after President Trump threatened tariffs that could cripple the Canadian economy, as the WSJ reports.

Duterte Arrested

Rodrigo Duterte, the former Philippine president who has been accused of crimes against humanity and the extrajudicial killings of thousands of people during his “war on drugs,” was arrested Tuesday in Manila under a warrant issued by the International Criminal Court, as The Washington Post reports.

This Town Tomorrow
