Effective Strategies for Suicide Prevention and Clinical Intervention
|
|
|
Too many lives have been lost to suicide, and the need for specialized prevention education is stronger than ever before. Through our continued partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, we're proud to offer the following sessions as part of this year's Psych Congress program.
Featured Sessions:
- Integrating Suicide Prevention, Assessment, and Treatment in Clinical Practice
- Intersecting Crises: Suicide Prevention in Patients with Substance Use Disorders
- Surviving and Thriving After Suicide Loss: Supporting Families Through Prolonged Grief and Recovery
- Navigating Clinical Dilemmas in Suicide Risk Management: Balancing Autonomy and Safety
|
Why Attend:
- Learn effective strategies for early identification of high-risk patients
- Discuss approaches for crisis intervention and safety planning
- Review evidence-based approaches for medications and therapy
- Address stigma and improve access to care
These sessions were developed to provide clinicians with better strategies to make informed decisions about patients at risk of suicide and for treating those coping with loss. Join us at Psych Congress this September to attend these sessions and use code AFSP to save $100 on registration.
