One of the most common questions I get from new and longtime supporters is some variation of: “Olivia, what should I be doing?”… “What can I do?”… “How can we stop what’s happening to our country?”
This moment feels different, I know — and our response needs to be, too.
That’s why I’m proud to be part of Bright America, a non-profit grassroots movement open to all and built by conservative and moderate leaders defending the Constitution, fighting corruption, and casting a brighter vision for the future of our country.
This isn’t a new party or about pursuing a partisan policy agenda. Instead, we’re focused on standing up to any effort that threatens the foundation of American democracy: the Constitution, rule of law, separation of powers, and our institutions.
Now, this doesn’t mean we’re blind defenders of the status quo. There’s plenty of waste and inefficiency to find and fix, structural reforms to debate and explore, a cost-of-living crisis hurting most everyone, from healthcare to housing and everything in between, and a world full of threats and dangers.
We need solutions, clarity, and respect… not the chaos, instability, and cruelty we’re getting from Trump 2.0. And the opportunity for something better won’t last forever — which is why it’s so important that we band together now and stop waiting for an opposition party to save the day. You and me and millions of others — we’re who we’ve been waiting for.
So what are we going to do?
Bright America is focused on three things:
1) Fueling 150+ lawsuits at the state and federal level challenging anti-democracy action — including a brand new lawsuit against Elon Musk & DOGE.
2) Meeting people where they are – both online and off – to equip them to influence their legislators and begin shifting the culture of our communities and media. When massive numbers care enough to do something, leaders of all stripes take notice.
3) Working with brilliant minds and harnessing the power of AI to reach and influence disengaged Americans — testing, learning, perfecting, and repeating messaging that breaks through in time for the 2026 elections and beyond.
What can you expect?
Bright America is built on Substack, but that doesn’t mean a ton of email — just the opposite: You’ll get just one email per week. However, we’ll still be publishing new content on the website and across social media throughout the week, so you can stay as plugged in as you want without your inbox getting overwhelmed.
A HOME for our activism and advocacy
Bright America will have virtual and in-person events, plus the ability to connect with like-minded people in our Troll-Free Forum. At times like these, it’s great to know we’re not alone and that millions of other Americans outside the fringes of our politics want a brighter future for our kids and grandkids — not to mention ourselves!

We’re excited to introduce you to more of our Bright America partners in the weeks and months to come — distinguished American leaders (like Mark Cuban, who has an interesting post on healthcare up now) working to bring folks together, not polarize us. I’m proud to be among them!
