Donald Trump is trying to seize control of the United States Postal Service—and we need to act now to stop him.

His latest scheme? Firing the entire Postal Board of Governors and putting USPS under the control of his billionaire donor, Howard Lutnick, now serving as Commerce Secretary. Trump himself called it a “type of merger.”

But the Postal Service isn’t a business, and it doesn’t belong to Trump — it belongs to the American people.

This move is illegal, unconstitutional, and a direct attack on our democracy. Since 1970, the Postal Service has operated as an independent public agency, free from presidential control. Trump’s executive order would shred decades of law, opening the door to privatization, political interference, and the dismantling of a service millions of Americans rely on.

If Trump succeeds, the consequences will be devastating:

📬 Postal workers — over 640,000 of them, including 73,000 veterans — could lose their jobs.
📬 Rural communities, seniors, and small businesses could face massive delays in prescription deliveries, Social Security checks, and essential mail.
📬 Voting rights could threatened, with Trump’s allies poised to sabotage mail-in ballots ahead of the next election.

We stopped Trump from gutting the Postal Service in 2018 and foiled his sabotage attempts in 2020. Now, we’ve got to do it again.
