Since Trump took office, unelected billionaire Elon Musk has been on a rampage using his “Department of Government Efficiency” as his personal tool to break government and direct federal funds to his own companies, no matter the effects on everyday working people. Make no mistake, there is nothing efficient about cutting lifesaving programs, creating a culture of fear in the federal government, indiscriminately firing career civil servants in order to replace them with ideologues, and stealing taxpayer dollars and directing them into billionaires’ pockets. We can't let Donald Trump and Elon Musk destroy the programs and people that are the bedrock of our country.

Elon Musk is operating under the guise of cutting government waste when in reality he is stealing from us and harming the most vulnerable. The supposed "waste" DOGE has tried to cut includes:

* Women in the workplace: DOGE, following Trump’s anti-DEI directive, has implemented a purge of federal government initiatives and fired anyone whose work includes a portfolio related to gender, justice, and equity. He’s already eliminated programs that support women firefighters, domestic violence nonprofits, and women working in male-dominated fields. Take action now. [[link removed]]
* Affordable housing: DOGE plans to cut the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) workforce in half and reduce overall programs and funding. This will increase housing instability and homelessness and worsen the affordable housing crisis, putting children, veterans, seniors, and people with disabilities at further risk. Take action now. * Civil rights enforcement: DOGE is eliminating the offices tasked with investigating claims of discrimination in every federal agency. This will mean workers who face harassment or discrimination based on gender, race, disability, and more will have nowhere to turn. Take action now. [[link removed]]
* Consumer protection: Elon Musk wants to “delete” the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), an agency that investigates fraud and protects consumers in the marketplace. Without CFPB, credit card companies, mortgage providers, and debt collectors have free rein to take advantage of everyday people. Take action now. [[link removed]]
* Child care: The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) has also been a DOGE target for firing federal employees. Without these essential civil servants, ACF will struggle to provide family assistance, child care, Head Start, and other programs to state, local, and tribal governments, impacting millions of children and families across the country. Elon Musk and Donald Trump are cutting the programs that seek to create a country that works for all of us, instead of the most privileged. We won’t let them and their enablers in Congress get away with it— take action to demand Congress uphold its constitutional responsibility to represent the people and exercise the power of the purse to prevent and reverse DOGE cuts.
