Over 60% of graduate workers (2500+ grads) at the University of Maryland College Park have indicated their desire to be represented by the GLU-UAW. However, UMD is still refusing to bargain, and can do so indefinitely, because UMD grads lack collective bargaining rights under Maryland state law.

A bill granting graduate workers at public Maryland institutions collective bargaining rights has already passed the Maryland House of Delegates, but the equivalent Senate bill is still stuck in committee. Please take 2 minutes to send a letter to help get this bill to a vote on the Senate floor!
