The Palestinian Solidarity Campaign will be running a series of events that focus on solidarity, BDS efforts, the intersectionality of struggle, food, and much more. This is part of their broader goal to connect people to the humanities, history, culture, and lives of Levantine peoples.

The Kids Are All Right, Not Alt-Right

Watching local students participate in the struggle gives all of us over the age of 30 a great feeling of hopefulness. And while the youth are not solely responsible for fighting fascism, many candles can be lit from one flame! Students at MCLA have begun a call to disarm the MCLA security force, stating
"this poses a risk to students of various minorities including students of color, disabled students, and LGBTQ students".
Their petition can be found here.

Please send us an email or reach out directly to a current member of Steering Committee if any of these feels right for you!
- Steering Committee - Communications Coordinator: A Communications Coordinator would help the chapter with social media, newsletters, website, op ed pieces, and decision making.
- Steering Committee - At Large Member: An at-large member helps make decisions within Steering Committee without admin responsibilities.
- Member Engagement Team: Many hands make light work, and as a growing chapter, we need a few more hands to help plan & carry out chapter events.
We are always looking to grow our chapter involvement in the community, so if you're interested in an area we are not currently organizing for, please know we welcome new ideas and initiatives!
With rugged hope,
Heidi
