Last week, Donald Trump targeted a major law firm (where I worked until 2021) in an executive order aimed at punishing the firm for its past political representations and its recent internal operations. This marks the second time he has taken such action — the first was against another prominent law firm identified as representing Jack Smith.
Like many of you, I hoped to see the nation’s largest law firms — commonly referred to as Big Law — rally behind the targeted firms in solidarity. That has not happened.
