I’ve traveled across the state, listening to small business owners, doctors, nurses, and hardworking families who are being crushed under a system that’s supposed to serve them — but instead, it’s making life harder.
Just think about this…
A family-owned grocery store had to shut down because rising insurance costs made it impossible to stay open.
A young couple expecting their first child had to drive hours to find an OB-GYN because their local hospital couldn’t afford to keep their doctors.
A small-town business had to lay off employees just to cover legal fees from a lawsuit that should have never made it to court.
These are the hardships families in communities across the state are facing because of lawsuit abuse.
✅ Help small businesses survive by protecting them from unfair, excessive legal costs.
✅ Lower the price of everyday goods by cutting down on lawsuits that drive up costs for families.
✅ Make sure hospitals and clinics can recruit doctors so every family has access to the care they need.
✅ Reduce skyrocketing car and home insurance rates so Georgians can afford the coverage they deserve.
✅ Ensure fair trials by keeping misleading claims from inflating lawsuit payouts.
Together, we can put our small businesses, job creators, and everyday Georgians first!
Brian Kemp
Governor of Georgia
A MESSAGE FROM BRIAN KEMP
More than 35 years ago, I started my first business with nothing but a pickup truck and a shovel.
Since taking office as Governor of Georgia in 2019, I’ve put hardworking Georgians and their families first!
We’ve championed legislation to cut taxes for working families, crack down on crime, end human trafficking, reform foster care and adoption, and support our students and educators.
When Georgia became the first state to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, I made sure we protected both lives and livelihoods. As a result, we’ve seen historic economic investment, and we’ve continued to lead the way in creating opportunities at every corner of the state.
And we’re not stopping there!
Marty, the girls, and I are working hard to ensure Georgia’s best days are ahead of us.
