Did you hear the news, friend?
San Diego County has a special election coming up! District One needs a new representative on the Board of Supervisors, and I am proud to endorse my longtime friend Vivian Moreno.
From the time I spent serving alongside Vivian on the San Diego City Council, I know firsthand that she will fight tirelessly to implement real solutions to the problems facing our county.
Vivian was an invaluable partner at City Hall. She was fearless in challenging the status quo which had historically shut districts like ours out of the decision-making process. Together, we secured record levels of investment in the neighborhoods that made up our Council Districts, and I am confident we can team up to do it again at the County.
As Supervisor, I have every confidence she will be a critical partner in ensuring historically underserved communities have a seat at the table.
I know the pressure of a special election — which is why I know it’s going to take everything we’ve got to help Vivian cross the finish line come Election Day.
