 Friend, I was raised in Zachary, Louisiana where I was taught the values I live by today by my mother and father. Those same values that I fight for each and every single day to protect. Values like hard work, dedication, and putting God and family first in everything.  After high school, I attended Vanderbilt University, graduated, and then went on to receive my law degree at the University of Virginia. I tell you that so you know that I know a little more about law than the average pink-haired woker would like you to believe. I was elected to five terms as State Treasurer where I managed the state's $10.6 billion investment portfolios. I also oversaw local and state bond issues and returned millions of dollars in unclaimed property each year. Before I was Treasurer, I served as Secretary of the Department of Revenue, Special Counsel to Governor Roemer, and Secretary of Governor Roemer's Cabinet.  Then, I got my biggest call. The call to help the people of Louisiana and America. I was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016 after being endorsed by none other than President Donald J. Trump. I serve on the Appropriations, Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, Budget, and Judiciary committees in the U.S. Senate.  Every day for me is a new challenge, another day to serve the people of Louisiana, and another day to fight for our conservative values. You see, I'm always going to be 100% PRO-LIFE, PRO-GUN, and PRO-FREEDOM. That's not going to change regardless of what the Neo-Socialist Left throws at me and you can write that down and take it home to mama. I'm going to fight for your rights, your freedoms, and for a better future for our children. That won't change, I'd rather drink weedkiller than let the Socialist Left Agenda poison this country that we know and love so much.
