POP QUIZ: How many Billionaire CEOs sat front and center at Trump's inauguration?
|
Since Trump took office, he has made it abundantly clear that he intends to wage aggressive attacks on people, the planet, and democracy for the benefit of corporations.
From pulling the U.S. out of the Paris Climate Agreement and the World Health Organization to attempting to freeze federal spending for critical services and protections, Trump's whirlwind of actions in the first few weeks of his term has been nothing short of chaotic. And corporations are reaping the benefits as people suffer the consequences.
But perhaps nothing has quite symbolized how Trump is prioritizing corporations above people like his inauguration. A laundry list of corporations from the tech, auto, financial, and other industries donated massive amounts to Trump's inaugural committee to gain access and favor with the incoming President.
And sitting in the front row during his swearing-in were not former presidents, foreign dignitaries, members of Congress, or incoming members of Trump's cabinet. No, the front row of Trump's inauguration was reserved for a handful of tech CEOs and billionaires. Including some of the richest people in the world.
So exactly how many billionaire CEOs were at Trump's inauguration?
A) At least 4
B) At least 5
C) At least 7
D) At least 8
E) At least 10
Take a guess, and then find out if you’re right.

Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential.
