Every day brings something new, but here’s a glimpse of what my day looked like last month!
I started the morning by launching a door knock in Northeast Minneapolis for an endorsed candidate and dear friend in a special election for the Minnesota legislature.
Later, I met with a candidate for municipal office in a locally owned South Minneapolis coffee shop and bakery, Patisserie 46. Their chefs have won international awards for their baked goods! 🍩 To top it off, we crossed paths with Hennepin County Commissioner Angela Conley during the meeting, talk about a nice surprise!
Every year, Team Ilhan hosts a gathering of former staff, supporters, and community members at Memory Lanes, a popular local bowling alley. I love bowling so much that we get fun bowling shirts printed for everyone, especially for this yearly party! 🎉
Even with so many people to catch up with, I always make sure to bowl at least a few frames myself! 🎳
Every year this is a great opportunity to be with our community, without any political asks! It’s just a time to eat, bowl, and catch up with friends they don’t always see off of the campaign trails.
