Dear John,

Join our virtual No Hate, No Fear know-your-rights teach in for allies on Thursday, Feb. 13, 5-6 pm
Right now, ICE is escalating attacks on our communities across California. The Los Angeles Times leaked a memo confirming that US Immigration and Customs (I.C.E.) is planning “large scale” operation in the LA region by the end of February.
Immigration agents across the country are raiding homes, detaining parents, and terrorizing families where they should feel safest. Children are afraid to go to school and parents to work in fear of being separated. Trump is now allowing immigration enforcers to conduct raids at churches, schools, and hospitals—places meant for care and refuge, not sites of fear. These actions could prevent doctors, nurses, teachers and faith leaders from doing their jobs.
While Trump viciously attacks immigrants to distract us as he raids our health care, veterans and education programs to pay for tax cuts for billionaires, we know better. Immigrants are our loved ones, neighbors and co-workers who protect our communities, teach our children and contribute to our community. Immigrants are us.
Fear thrives in silence and isolation. But we can defeat fear by standing together.
We Are California is launching the NO HATE, NO FEAR Campaign to stand with our immigrant neighbors. We are recruiting tens of thousands of Californians to help protect our communities by spreading know your rights information and what neighbors can do if agents show up in your neighborhood.
When we stand together, we can stop the fear and protect our communities.
In Solidarity,
We Are California Team
