Lillian's List will be hosting our annual Black History Month panel this Thursday, February 20th at 7pm via Zoom. This year's topic is The Hard Conversation: The Challenge of Black Women Running for Statewide Office in North Carolina.

Over the past few years, we have seen multiple highly qualified Black women run strong campaigns for state level office in NC, yet face defeat in the general election. Our panelists will dig in on the unique biases these women face and what we can do to do better support them in the future.

Our panelists will be Rep. Monika Johnson-Hostler, Veleria Levy, Da'Quan Love, William Munn, Stephanie Pigues, and David Webb. These political experts have a wide range of experience in NC politics, and I'm looking forward to hearing their insights.
