Donald Trump built his entire campaign on a lie. He promised to be the anti-war candidate—yet he’s already saber-rattling with dangerous foreign policy stunts. He vowed to bring prices down—but inflation is climbing, and working families are paying the price. He swore he’d fight for the working class—but his only priority seems to be billionaires like Elon Musk, who is now running roughshod over our government.
Instead of fixing the real issues Americans sent him to the White House to address, Trump has been busy with delusional vanity projects—renaming the Gulf of Mexico, reviving his imperialist dream of taking over Greenland, and scheming to control the Panama Canal. These aren’t the actions of a leader fighting for the people.
And the country is waking up.
A new Reuters/Ipsos poll shows Trump’s approval has dropped to 44%, down from 47% when he first returned to office. Meanwhile, disapproval has jumped to 51%,
up 10 points from when he took office. Even his supposed stronghold—the economy—is slipping, with approval of his economic stewardship dropping to 39% from 43% just weeks ago. And his failure to address inflation is hitting hard—only 32% of Americans approve of his performance on the issue.
Instead of tackling the real issues Americans sent him to the White House to fix, Trump is obsessed with nonsense—renaming the Gulf of Mexico, scheming to seize Greenland, and letting Elon Musk dismantle our institutions. Meanwhile, everyday Americans are paying the price. A U.S. Labor Department report shows consumer prices just rose by the most in nearly 1.5 years, and expectations for inflation are climbing after Trump’s reckless tariffs on imports from China, Mexico, and Canada.
And here’s the kicker—53% of Americans now say the economy is on the wrong track, up from 43% just weeks ago. Public confidence in Trump’s ability to deliver is collapsing, and 54% of Americans oppose his trade war tariffs.
