Looping back on this one, because it’s important and we need your help.
This should be simple: No American who clocks out at the end of a long day at work should have to turn right back around to clock in to their second or third job, just to make ends meet.
But that’s the reality for far too many hard-working Americans, because it’s been more than a decade since we raised the federal minimum wage. Congress can fix this, but we have to hold a vote.
SIGN ON: GIVE AMERICA A RAISE!
House Democrats did our job and passed the Raise the Wage Act to bring long-overdue relief to America’s working families. Now, it’s the Senate’s turn. There’s just one problem, and I’m guessing you already know the answer: Mitch McConnell won’t hold a vote on this bill.
Thanks for standing with me -- and the tens of millions of American workers who’ve been waiting for over a decade now to get this raise!
Congressman Gerry Connolly
Virginia's 11th District
