We are Dani, Thea, and Paley, Betsy Sweet’s daughters!

It’s been a big week for us. Dani and Thea graduated (virtually) from college, and Paley has moved to Portland. All three of us are worried about the economy, our ability to find a job, paying off student loans, and honestly, we do NOT trust the current people in Washington to do anything about it – especially Susan Collins.

We grew up watching our mom fight for Mainers, and we are so proud of the work she has done. We know she will go to DC and advocate for students and make sure public college and technical schools are tuition-free. We know she will fight to make sure companies like Amazon and Duke Energy actually pay taxes on the billions of dollars they make in profits to pay for the things that regular families, and kids, actually need. And we know that she will never give up – whether it’s making us do the dishes or making sure no one goes bankrupt paying for school or is denied an education because they can’t afford it.
