This week, Rob issued felony charges against a man suspected of running an illegal assault weapons manufacturing operation out of his garage.

The charges came after the Department of Justice investigated the suspect, who tried selling silencers and assault weapons at a local gun show. After searching his residence, we found and seized eight illegal assault rifles, and a cache of handguns, rifles, large-capacity magazines, and ammunition.

Protecting public safety and California communities from the threat of gun violence is Rob’s top priority as our state’s chief law enforcement officer.

While California has some of the strongest gun violence prevention laws in the country, Rob is making sure to hold those who skirt those laws accountable.
