Hi John,

NPH’s Bay Area Housing Internship Program (BAHIP) is one of our most successful programs, offering a measurable and proven way to diversify and strengthen the affordable housing field. By training college students as the next generation of housers, we position our industry for growth and sustainability!

The application to apply to the 8th BAHIP cohort is open and the next info session webinar for interested applicants is Friday, March 14 from 1-2PM. (Please RSVP/get the link for the webinar by emailing me: [email protected])

Deadline: Sunday, March 30
For a Word doc version of the application, email: [email protected]

📑 Need More Info? We encourage applicants to review the program description before completing the application.

🤝 What’s BAHIP? BAHIP is a one-year, paid internship designed to recruit and train housing development professionals who will enhance inclusion and racial equity in affordable housing at leading nonprofit housing development organizations. This internship provides a launching pad into an affordable housing development/project management career for Bay Area college students.

🧑‍🎓 Who Should Apply? We strongly encourage applications from low-income students, students of color, and students entering their last year of college in Fall 2026 who have an academic focus or interest in urban studies, community development, and related subject matter. Students with bilingual/bicultural backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
