Earlier this week, it was reported that Donald Trump was preparing to order Secretary of Education Linda McMahon to begin dismantling the federal agency. Then, at the last minute on Thursday, Trump decided to pull back the order.

Make no mistake: destroying the Department of Education is a critical pillar of Project 2025, and the only reason Trump hasn't done it yet is because people are making it clear that they do NOT support destroying public education.
