We were very proud to announce our fully fledged Norther Territory team in Alice Springs this week. Senator Malcolm Roberts was on hand to listen to locals about economic development and explain our comprehensive cost of living measures.

Dear John

Australians are tough, and Queenslanders are even tougher. In times of disaster, you can count on the resilience of every person across this country to get back up, shake it off, and rebuild.

Queenslanders and those affected in New South Wales will need every bit of that strength in the coming days and weeks as they recover from the devastation of Cyclone Alfred.

The cost-of-living crisis will make recovery even harder.

Housing materials now cost nearly double what they did just a few years ago. Fuel, groceries, and the essential supplies needed for rebuilding are also far more expensive. One Nation has a plan to slash these costs.

Tragically, the coming weeks will reveal what we already know—many Australians are underinsured, or uninsured, unable to afford skyrocketing insurance premiums.

Pauline Hanson: One Nation’s Plan for Tax Reform and Medicare Fix

To ease this burden, One Nation has announced a plan to exempt insurance premiums from the GST, putting more money back in Australians’ pockets and helping families better prepare for future disasters.

While Labor is busy leaking stories to the media about the Prime Minister’s frustration over 'the weather' interfering with his plans for an early election, One Nation’s leadership team has been bunkered down, working on real solutions—finding ways to make life easier for Australians recovering from nature’s destructive force.

Queenslanders have faced these challenges before. In 1974, a cyclone caused Brisbane to flood, destroying thousands of homes. In the 1950s, Brisbane was again battered by a cyclone.

Norther new South Wales has often had its fair share of flooding.

The impacts of this disaster will be felt deeply, but if there’s one thing every Aussie knows, it’s that if anyone can pull through, a Queenslander can! And so can a New South Welshman!

There are few depths to which the Greens won’t sink, and this latest campaign of rot is a perfect example.

To use a natural disaster, where people’s lives are at risk, to push a false political opinion has to be called out.

It is cheap, nasty and derelict behaviour. Opportunistic is another word.

What’s most alarming about this perverse tweet is the alarming lack of economic literacy shown by Labor’s coalition partner of choice.

Coal and gas has built this country. It has enabled homes and infrastructure to be built. Coal and gas pays for the emergency services and hospitals that will be needed through this crisis.

Coal will pay for the rebuilding after the cyclone passes.

What is known is that coal does not cause cyclones, which have been hitting Queensland, and our southeast, for longer than records have been kept.

One Nation firmly has the Greens in our sights, as we seek support from voters to bring their shocking and unwelcome presence in parliament to an end.
