Even we didn’t think Trump would be stupid enough to risk disrupting monthly Social Security payments to seniors who rely on them to survive.

But here we are. Thanks to Elon Musk and DOGE, the Social Security Administration is preparing to fire 7,000 of its employees. These cuts will make it impossible to run the agency properly and will almost certainly result in missed payments.

Former head of the Social Security Administration told multiple outlets, including CNBC, that he anticipates disruptions in payments at some point over the next three months.

This is a five-alarm fire, JOHN. Seniors worked their tails off and paid into Social Security for decades with the promise that their benefits and their money would be there for them once they retire.

Donald Trump and Elon Musk aren’t just betraying Seniors. They’re betraying every American with a parent on Social Security and every young person currently paying into the system with their monthly paychecks.
