These reckless decisions include slashing jobs at Independence National Historical Park, a cornerstone of our local economy and a symbol of our nation’s history. With America’s 250th birthday approaching, now is the time to invest in this national treasure—not strip it of vital resources.
Additionally, more than 400 Internal Revenue Service employees in Philadelphia have been fired, a move that will lead to longer wait times and delayed refunds for taxpayers. Let’s be clear: laying off workers in the middle of tax season doesn’t make government more efficient—it makes life harder for everyday Americans. If you or someone you know is experiencing issues with an IRS refund, my office may be able to help. Call (215) 335-3355 or visit my website for assistance.
These aren’t just federal jobs. These are Philadelphia jobs—and these reckless cuts are hurting middle-class families in our city and across the state. That’s why I’m fighting back. Because our city's workers deserve better.
Sincerely,
Brendan F. Boyle
