Dear Supporter,

With so many threats to Social Security and Medicare now on the table in Washington, the National Committee will be listening carefully as President Trump delivers a speech to a Joint Session of Congress and to the American people tonight.

Right now, millions of older Americans are deeply concerned that their earned benefits and health security are now in jeopardy.

That’s because President Trump’s billionaire friend and close advisor Elon Musk is calling the shots, feeding him lies about your earned benefits, seeing dead people and dictating which government programs and agencies can survive his purge. President Trump has even called the Social Security database “a scam.”

And so President Trump needs to make it clear in words and action that he won’t cave into the demands of Elon Musk and other so-called “fiscal hawks” in Washington who want to slash Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid to help pay for a $4.5 trillion extension of the Trump tax cuts for millionaires, billionaires and huge, profitable corporations.

Now is the time for the President to uphold his campaign promise to voters that he won’t touch any of these programs.

With your strong support, the National Committee will continue to fight against any effort to harm the benefits that you’ve paid into and earned during a lifetime of work. We will ramp up pressure on Congress and the President to provide adequate funding for the already hobbled Social Security Administration, at a time when growing numbers of Americans are retiring. And we will hold the President accountable if he decides to restore drug companies’ power to price gouge seniors!

Please support our urgent battle in Washington to protect your earned benefits by making one urgent gift today. ( [link removed] )

Sincerely,

Max Richtman
President & CEO
