We want to share a story with you… — one that every small business owner, worker, and consumer in Georgia should hear.

This story is about a small trucking company in Snellville… a company that followed the rules, kept their drivers safe, and provided jobs in their community.

Then one day… a reckless driver changed everything.

One of their trucks was at a full stop, waiting to turn. The road was clear. They pulled out at a slow, steady speed.
A speeding car slammed into them.

Dash cam footage showed the truck wasn’t at fault.

Witnesses saw the reckless driver make a suspicious package handoff.
But the trucker got the ticket.

The company fought back and the judge threw out the charges.

That should have been the end of it…

But instead, the reckless driver sued… and won a $1.7 MILLION settlement.

Even worse?

The trucking company’s insurance dropped them, and their rates TRIPLED overnight.

Here’s the bottom line: This isn’t just about lawsuits.

It’s about fairness.

It’s about protecting Georgia’s small businesses, keeping costs low, and stopping bad actors from putting hardworking people out of business.

That’s why Governor Kemp is leading the fight for lawsuit reform in Georgia — to stop abusive lawsuits, lower insurance costs, and keep Georgia the #1 state for business.

The Georgia Senate has already passed his plan. Now, it’s time for the House to act.

A MESSAGE FROM BRIAN KEMP

[link removed]

More than 35 years ago, I started my first business with nothing but a pickup truck and a shovel.

Since taking office as Governor of Georgia in 2019, I’ve put hardworking Georgians and their families first!

We’ve championed legislation to cut taxes for working families, crack down on crime, end human trafficking, reform foster care and adoption, and support our students and educators.

When Georgia became the first state to reopen during the COVID-19 pandemic, I made sure we protected both lives and livelihoods. As a result, we’ve seen historic economic investment, and we’ve continued to lead the way in creating opportunities at every corner of the state.

And we’re not stopping there!

Marty, the girls, and I are working hard to ensure Georgia’s best days are ahead of us.

But, we can’t do it alone. Our accomplishments are only possible with a team of strong grassroots supporters like YOU by my side.

So, today I’m asking for your support in my continued fight to improve the way of life for hardworking families. Will you join me?

Thank you,

Brian Kemp
