President Trump's tariffs on our trading partners have now gone into effect — 25% on Canada and Mexico, and 20% on China. This is a direct hit to Kentucky workers and families.

Our signature bourbon industry is caught in the crossfire. Canada's Prime Minister has already encouraged Canadians to choose "Canadian rye over Kentucky bourbon" with $155 billion in retaliatory tariffs ready. This puts Kentucky jobs — and the livelihood of Kentuckians working in the bourbon industry — at risk. Governor Beshear warned Trump’s tariffs will result in an "inflation trifecta" raising prices on gas, groceries, and housing for Kentucky families who are already struggling to get ahead.
