**Americans Want Solutions that Address Safety for
All and Protections for Long-Term Residents**??

**WASHINGTON, D.C. -**??Ahead of President Trump's address to Congress, new polling shows that Americans remain steadfast in wanting elected officials to collaborate on updating our laws??to address safety and protect long-time immigrant residents. ??

The survey found a 50-point spread among participants (67%-17%) in support vs. opposition to "elected officials working together on immigration solutions that prioritize safety and security while protecting longtime community members and their families.??

Among participants identified as conservatives, the support increases to??69%, versus 18% opposing.

"Americans want leaders who collaborate to offer practical and sustainable solutions. We urgently need updates to our immigration system to provide security and stability for everyone, including those immigrants who have been contributing for years to our communities and economy,"??

**The National Immigration Forum, in conjunction with The Bullfinch Group, conducted a nationwide online survey fielded Feb. 22-26, 2025, among 1,200 adults, of whom 1,000 respondents were registered voters. Sampling controls were used to ensure that a proportional and representative number of respondents were interviewed from demographic groups such as age, gender, political affiliation, race, and geographic region. The margin of error for registered voters is ??3.1% at the 95% confidence interval. The margin of error for adults is ?? 2.83% at the 95% confidence interval.**??
