Senate Education Committee Will Consider Prayer and 10 commandments in Schools!

Tomorrow, Tuesday, the Senate Committee on K-16 Education will hear public testimony on bills that would allow for the display of the 10 Commandments in the classroom and for a designated time where students are allowed to pray and read the Bible.

We need as many people as possible to show up and testify in favor of these bills tomorrow Tuesday, March 4 at 11:00 AM!

If you cannot stay for the entire day, please come to the Texas Capitol and register your support for SB 10, The 10 Commandments Bill and SB 11, The Protecting the Freedom to Pray Bill. We are calling SB 11 The Coach Kennedy Bill and Coach Joe Kennedy will be joining us at the Capitol tomorrow to speak in favor of this bill. You may recall, Coach Joe Kennedy was the coach who would pray at the 50-yard line and was fired for doing so. With the help of our friends at First Liberty Institute, he sued the school district and won his case at the U.S Supreme Court.

To send a message to the committee, please email carmen.fish.

Radical Leftists have been attacking the 10 Commandments Bill since this summer, even before the bill was filed! As you saw at the State Board of Education in November, the opposition to any reference to the Bible in the classroom is loud! That’s why we need you to voice your support of these bills.

If you have any questions about the hearing or the bills, please email the Texas Values office at [email protected].
