John,
When Vote Mama alum Virginia Del. Destiny LeVere Bolling welcomed a child last month, she became the first woman in Virginia’s 400-year legislative history to be allowed by political leaders to vote remotely after childbirth.
Del. LeVere Bolling defied precedent when she cast her historic vote miles from a state House that has been governed predominantly by men for as long as it has existed.
In 2023, our Democratic mamas flipped the House of Delegates from red to blue and held onto the Senate, preventing a GOP trifecta and stopping Youngkin’s extremist agenda. In total, 13 mamas won their elections to the Virginia General Assembly, including Del. LeVere Bolling.
In Virginia, this year, we have the opportunity to not only elect the first woman and mama as governor in Abigail Spanberger, but also to protect and expand the Democrats’ two-seat majority in the House of Delegates and create a Democratic trifecta to pass truly family-friendly policies.
Can we count on you to donate $20.25 or more to support the strategic opportunity we have to invest in Virginia moms on the ballot this cycle?
