Tens of thousands of veterans have been DISARMED by anti-gun bureaucrats after seeking help managing their VA benefits. |
But now we have the chance to restore the constitutionally-protected right to keep and bear arms for those Americans who put their lives on the line for our country.

The House Committee on Veteran Affairs recently held a hearing on H.R. 1041, which would prohibit the Secretary of Veterans Affairs from sharing any information that could be used to disarm veterans.

In fact, GOA worked with the House leadership last year to include a temporary ban on disarming veterans in the future. This fits with GOA’s commitment to repeal ALL gun control that infringes on the rights of any law-abiding American. |
But it’s not enough to stop these injustices going forward… Our country must also right this wrong for any veterans who had their God-given rights taken from them in the past. |
That’s why Congress MUST include language that retroactively restores 2A rights to the thousands of veterans who have been wrongly disarmed! |
In fact, a hearing was already held on a GOA-backed draft of a secondary bill to accomplish exactly that! |
GOA is now urging that retroactive language to be inserted into H.R. 1041 – not included as a separate bill – to ensure that it passes the U.S. Senate. |
Keeping it separate only lowers the odds of this bill making it through the Senate. If H.R. 1041’s goal is a “protection” of veterans’ 2A rights, then it must include restoring their 2A rights as well. |
To ensure it happens, we’re asking our members like YOU to add your name to our pre-written letter telling your Representative to vote for H.R. 1041 with restorative language included. |

Everyone has a vested interest in getting this legislation passed. Even if you’ve never served in the armed forces, you probably have family members or friends who have.

Not only that, the veterans gun ban is just a first step. Remember when the Obama administration tried to expand the ban to also cover Social Security disability recipients? This is why every infringement must be repealed—or else it will eventually be expanded to cover YOU! |
