JOHN,

If you didn’t get a chance to see Donald Trump and JD Vance’s shameful display in front of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office last week, we strongly recommend watching it here.

After you’ve watched it, we ask that you sign our petition condemning Trump and Vance as the pro-Putin assets that they are and reaffirming your support for the Ukrainian people in their war against Vladimir Putin and the invading Russian military.

No matter what you think of some of our foreign policy choices over the decades, it has always been true that the United States stood committed to preserving economic and personal freedom for our European allies through our commitment to NATO. Thanks to every single American president since Roosevelt, we have had relative peace in Europe for 80 years.

Vladimir Putin broke that peace by illegally invading Ukraine, launching the largest European war since WWII. Putin and his armies have demolished Ukrainian cities and butchered Ukrainian civilians, including children. The United States and Western Europe’s commitment to aiding Ukraine in its own self-defense has helped keep Russia at bay while degrading their military might significantly.

Russia’s success or failure in Ukraine will determine whether or not Putin ends his crusade here, or if he will launch further invasions into NATO member countriesβ€”thus triggering Article 5 and a third World War.

Donald Trump and JD Vance have clearly taken Putin’s side in this conflict, calling Zelenskyy a dictator and refusing to acknowledge that the invading Russians are responsible for the war in the first place. It’s a betrayal of the highest level of American values. It’s a betrayal of our allies in Europe. It’s a betrayal to the Ukrainian people who have fought, suffered, and died at the hands of the Russian army.

Trump embarrassed our country and the men and women who have died for it, all the while playing right into Putin’s hands. So we’re asking you to sign our petition today condemning his actions in the Oval Office and stating your support for the Ukrainian people.
